Hey everyone, happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I know I did and I’m going to jump right in and tell you all about it. I hit up the Boise farmers market on Saturday, and then went for a walk on the greenbelt. It was the perfect way to soak in the season! April is starting to show off with green grass and blooming trees, and just getting out there felt like a reset. Here’s how it went down.

Breakfast At The Market
I kicked things off at the Boise farmers market, which is honestly one of my favorite parts of Spring and Summer. They always have such kind vendors with unique products and it’s amazing to support local businesses. It was chilly. Scratch that, wayyy colder than I expected so my first stop was to get a warm beverage. A hot cocoa kept my hands warm and my mood high. After securing a drink, breakfast was next on the list. I spotted my favorite local food truck called Crisp! I’ve been dreaming of their food since the last farmers market season, so I knew I had to get it. They had a variety of options but I went with a breakfast sandwich which was straight up heavenly. It was a local egg, sausage, goat cheese, tapenade, and greens on a crispy ciabatta. And…the…fruit was the juiciest, most delicious fruit I’ve ever tasted!

I didn’t grab much else, just a lip balm because I forgot mine in the car and was not surviving without it. The market is still waking up, but I’m pumped for warmer days when the stalls are overflowing. You might even see some future recipes with my market finds!
Greenbelt Glow-Up
After the market, I made my way to the Boise Greenbelt (which is only like 3 blocks away)! I went for a walk and it was such a blast, despite the chilly weather. The trees were gorgeously blooming pink and white all over. Additionally, the wind actually added a whimsical touch because the little, blooming petals were falling all around me. The grass was this bright, fresh green that just screamed Spring and I couldn’t get enough. The air was crisp and it felt so good to move my body and breathe deep.

Dennis and Yuki would’ve lost it trying to chase after every falling blossom, but moments like this remind me why I love these low-key outings. No gym needed, just a path and a good time.
Top Tier Day
This market-to-Greenbelt combo was exactly what I needed. The hot cocoa and sandwich were a cozy start, and the walk let me clear my head while soaking in the Boise sun. I’m already counting down to warmer weekends and more days like this. It’s all about finding joy in the small stuff, like a blooming tree or a clutch lip balm save.
