Anyways, things have been cruising and time is flying. It is wild to me that July is already halfway over. And while I’m desperately looking forward to my upcoming Euro Summer vacation (I’ll share more soon), there are plenty of things keeping me busy at home. Here’s what has been keeping me occupied.

Lash Extension Training

If you’ve read my Side Hustles for Hobby Girls blog, you have seen my take on lash extension training. I want to say that this year has been one of big changes and taking the next steps. Because of this, I really didn’t want to wait any longer on something that seemed like a perfect next step, so I enrolled in training. It has been kind of behind the scenes but is soon going to make its grand debut.

Working My 9-5

Whether it comes as a surprise or not, I do also work a standard 9-5 job. It’s a tough economy right now so I’m grateful to have a steady income source and an opportunity to grow personally. I’m learning so many great skills and I’ve been fortunate enough to have awesome mentors. My day job definitely keeps me on my toes but I long for a creative outlet. Hence the blog and hobbyist mindset. There are a few shifts coming up at work and I’m hoping this will allow me to have a bit more calm.

My Matcha Hyper-fixation

I want you all to promise to yourselves that you’ll never stop trying new things. Trust me, please! If you would have offered me a matcha one year ago, I likely would’ve turned my nose up. Six months ago, I may have given you a look and then sniff tested it. However, I needed to just trust because hot girls drink matcha and they’re on to something! Now, I am a firm believer that most things can be yummy if they’re made well, so keep that in mind. However, I’ve been trying different flavor combinations and I’ve become a big fan. My favorite matcha order so far has been an iced pistachio honey matcha latte. Mmm, I’m drooling just thinking about it. Anyways, Prime day ended up working in my favor and I got a matcha kit to test out.

My Pinterest Obsession

I’m proud to say that I am a Pinterest fan. How could I not be? I love to plan the little details of my life and having a photo to reference is always preferable. My obsession has definitely grown more recently after making the transition of just looking at Pinterest to also posting on Pinterest. I am so here for the spam era and I’m definitely giving that energy on my Pinterest page. If you want the nitty gritty of my life, that is where you’ll find it! I’m also very pleased with the growth I’ve seen on that platform so far.
